THE QUICK "Mondo Deco" LP (CD version available soon!)
RHB - 108
RADIO HEARTBEAT RECORDS announces the long awaited vinyl re-issue of THE QUICK's seminal MONDO DECO LP. Faithfully mastered from the original master tapes, Mondo Deco comes packaged with the original cover art and printed inner dust sleeve featuring a layout of rare photos and liner notes by Danny Benair.
As QUICK fans are well aware, this album represents, along with the Milk N' Cookies S/T LP, the apex of glitter rock in the States. It's take on the ornate glam impulses of Sparks is rendered unique by the Quick's unaltering attention to the integrity of the pop song and executed with an edginess that had The Quick as a fixture in the burgeoning LA punk scene. The result is stunning in its originality; a pure pop delight. The Quick's re-working of Lennon / McCartney's "It Won't Be Long" and Bob Gaudio's "Rag Doll" make them not only intensely original covers but outright statements of the band's aesthetic as they seamlessly merge with original compositions such as "No No Girl", "Hilary", "Hi-Lo" and the storming drum and guitar crossfire of "Anybody." All find a unique balance in their blend of glittergum and orchestral pop and explode as so many nursery rhymes snarled through a prism of all-american teenage angst.
Shadowed over a bit at the time, due mainly to promotional attention being squarely focused on the earning potential of labelmates, The Runaways, Mondo Deco is that one of a kind record that will glitter brighter and brighter as years go by as the truly seminal pop album that it is. As more people hear. It won't be long.
The QUICK Mondo Deco LP = $15

CRUSHED BUTLER "Uncrushed" LP
RHB - 110
Many bands are called legendary, few are. Among them are Crushed Butler whose assualt on the UK prog rock scene in 69-70 layed out the dynamics that were to follow in the best punk, glam and pub rock records of the seventies. From the anthemic R&B classic "High School Dropout", to the pure punk mayhem of "It's My Life" and "Factory Grime" and the heavy Sabbath-esque psych of "Love Is All Around Me" this has long been a record deserving of wider accessibility. Radio Heartbeat Records is pleased to make that happen. The RHB LP edition adds a 2nd version of "High School Dropout" and an previously unreleased instrumental recording, "Let It Ring" to the 6 tracks first pressed on the Dig The Fuzz 10" in the 90s to make this the definitive vinyl release with original cover art, inner sleeve and poster by Avi Spivak (Humanbeing Lawnmower) that contains the band's complete surviving recordings.

SPEEDIES "Speedy Delivery" LP / CD
RHB - 101
The Speedies were about POP! Their infectious blend of glitter and punk never strays far between hooks , just as you'd expect from a band that wanted to be your breakfast cereal with the Kellogg's jingles to prove it. The Radio Heartbeat LP/CD includes the 2 classic singles "Let Me Take Your Photo" and "Something on My Mind" and flip sides plus a double scoop of songs that could have easily been hit singles. Resistance is futile; as the Speedies have it: "You Need Pop."

HUBBLE BUBBLE S/T LP
RHB - 102
You know the deal. Belgium 1978, Plastic Bertand and Co. created a monster. Languishing in the depths of want lists for years and years, Radio Heartbeat is more than happy to bring this classic back to vinyl in tandem with our pals at Daggerman Records. An impossible LP to explain in a few lines, it ranges from the raw anthemic pop of "Freak's Out" to the wall of sound punk of "Big Star Rolling."
HUBBLE BUBBLE LP = $15

HUBBLE BUBBLE "Faking" LP
RHB - 103
The second Hubble Bubble LP from 1979, faithfully restored to the vinyl format. This LP is a less a follow up to to the first than it's own entity entirely. If not for the long shadow cast by the S/T LP, it's easy to imagine that this would be more highly regarded for the brilliant blend of punk and edgy pop that it is. There's much here to please fans of the raw punk of the first LP. However, "Faking" also exhibits more of an attention to hooks as it makes more than a slight nod toward Pub Rock and Glam: Just hear their devastating version of Kim Fowley and Michael Lloyd's "Motor Boat"!
HUBBLE BUBBLE LP = $15

RAXOLA S/T LP
RHB - 104
Raxola hailed from the same classic Belgian punk scene as The Kids and Hubble Bubble. Amazing that three groups all put out such staggering LPs! Long regarded as one of the all-time best European punk LPs, Raxola finally gets a legit repressing. Winners such as "84's Man" "Wildcat" and "Old Rat" will continue to quench your sonic palette for years to come.

MILK N' COOKIES 2LP
RHB - 105
Milk N' Cookies blended elements of Sparks-influenced Glam with Micky Most / Chin & Chapman-esque Glitter Gum and delivered it with a punk edge that was all New York. Simply a one of a kind LP that has long topped the waant wists of everyone from punk, glam and power pop collectors to twee poppers. Too bad hardly any bands followed their lead until quite recently.
This Radio Heartbeat Double LP edition reproduces the original album artwork and adds a gatefold with rare photos, liner notes, 2 Full Color printed inner sleeves and a fold out poster. The first LP of the 2 record set is a faithful reissue of the original 1975 Island LP; the 2nd LP contains "Tinkertoy Tomorrow," "Good Friends," "Wok N' Woll," "Typically Teenage," "Buy This Record" and an alternate version of "Not Enough Girls (In The World)."
MILK N' COOKIES 2LP = $20

RADIO CITY "Class of '77" LP/CD
RHB - 106
If you're anything like us at Radio Heartbeat, you can't get enough of 70s power pop bands that were writing songs under the influence of the Beatles, Big Star and Blue Ash and you lament the fact that there's just not as many of these records as there should have been. Enter Radio City. Recorded in NY between 1977 and 1980 these 'lost' Radio City recordings have been carried along until not merely in the rumors of power pop enthusiasts and collectors. The wait is over as, fortunately, there remains a LPs worth of songs such as Don't Mistake Love and Little Runaway that should move even the most jaded of hearts with their blend of pop melancholy lyric and Rickenbacker jangle.

20/20 "Going Up With My Girl" b/w "World of Fools" PS45
RHB - 701
"Going Up With My Girl" is perhaps not only 20/20's finest song but simply one of the better power pop songs ever. "World of Fools" is a worthy a-side to almost any lesser cut. Long staples of 20/20 live shows, the Radio Heartbeat 45 versions of these tracks were recorded in 1980 at Wally Heider's in LA.
